Bobby Joe Price Scholarship

Named after an ever-committed family man and disciplined hard worker, the Bobby Joe Price Scholarship provides financial awards in the amount of $1,500 to students (high school seniors through college juniors) who endeavor academic or experiential development over the summer.

 

This can include internships, apprenticeships, study abroad, conferences, or even application fees. We do not discriminate on the purpose so long as the applicant has demonstrated passion for a cause that promotes excellence in education, equity, or the environment.

Our 2024-2025 application cycle has closed.

Are You...

  • A high-school senior through college junior at a school located in the US;

  • A US citizen, permanent resident, or DACA

​

  • Entering an academic or professional experience during Summer 2025;

  •  

  • Have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher

​

  • A hard worker with demonstrated passion related to the experience (e.g. volunteerism, prior internship(s), courses, etc.); and

​

  • The experience is related to excellence in either education, equity, or environment.

01 - Personal Information

Provide your latest personal information at the beginning of the application. If there are any changes after applying, please notify us by email​ with the subject line: [Full Name] "Personal Information Update".

02 - Academic and Personal Achievements

  • We request a PDF of your latest transcript including Fall 2026 grades. This document should show all courses taken, the time they were taken, the grade received, and your cumulative GPA. Additionally, we will ask for other information including: AP/IB/AICE courses taken, Extracurriculars, SAT/ACT scores, etc.

  • Additionally, we request any documentation that you have corroborating your continued dedication to this path. We are not looking for any one type of evidence. Please make sure that you are content with the support you have provided.​

    • Examples: Proof of committed volunteering at an animal shelter for a Veterinarian internship OR a letter of recommendation from a professor attesting your continued devotion to a specific course/field of study.

03 - Creative Statement

We ask all of our applicants to write an original creative statement for our panel's review. This statement should be no more than 500 words and should be submitted as a single-page PDF document.

04 - Advocacy Statement

In life, you will always be your first advocate. Make sure to tell us why you deserve to WIN in 160 words or less. Take a moment to let us know what experiences the Bobby Joe Price Grant will help you gain and how that factors into your larger life goals.
